Course Aims
To provide expert-level skills for managing complex, multi-faceted projects in Microsoft Project, including advanced scheduling, cross-project resource management, and detailed reporting.
Course Prerequisites
Delegates should have completed the Intermediate course or possess strong proficiency in resource management, baselines, and reporting in Microsoft Project.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, delegates will be able to:
- Manage advanced task relationships, including lead and lag, and conduct detailed critical path analysis.
- Consolidate multiple project files and apply resource sharing across multiple projects.
- Customise project fields, tables, and visual indicators for tailored project tracking.
- Create automated and customised project reports, integrating data visuals and trends.
- Leverage integration options to export data and collaborate with other Microsoft 365 tools like Power BI and Excel

Module 1: Importing & Exporting Data
Learning Outcomes:
Using and creating your own maps to import and export Project data to and from Excel and other applications.

Module 2: Advanced Project Options

Understanding Project's sophisticated Scheduling and Calendar options and using the organiser to share useful customisations.

Module 3: Advanced Resource Assignment
Learning Outcomes:
Using advanced tools and views to gain more control and visibility of resources and their usage across project tasks.

- Using Projects Automatic Levelling
Module 4: Working with Multiple Projects
Learning Outcomes:
Creating a resource pool to share resource over many projects and consolidating projects allowing cross project dependencies.

Module 5: Customising Microsoft Project

Creating your own specific fields, tables to display chosen fields and views and filters made up of your chosen tables and fields.
